- mental/emotional and
- mental/cognitive aspect
and are thus stored in our memory.
We can interrupt this natural process of self-regulation through manipulation, self-control, avoidance and distraction or it is hindered by external circumstances and people.
The goal in Gestalt therapy is to restore the self-regulation of Gestalt formation.
The method consists of continuous attention directed towards perception, of concentration on the here and now.
